09:23 AM EDT, 07/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Natural gas rose off a three-month low early on Tuesday even as forecasts expect cooler weather on the way that will cut into cooling demand.
Gas for August delivery was last seen up US$0.09 to US$3.08, after closing at the lowest since April 24 a day earlier.
The rise comes despite the approach of cooler weather for most states. The National Weather Service's six to 10 day forecast see nearly all states with seasonal or cooler weather over the period, though its eight to 14 day outlook expects hotter than average temperatures for most of the country.
"An impressively hot pattern the next 3-days over the US for the strongest demand so far this summer, as shown in the image. However, a cooler pattern arrives late this week through early next week for only moderate demand," NatGasWeather noted.
