09:12 AM EST, 11/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Natural gas futures rose early on Tuesday as cold eastern weather continues to support demand, though long-term forecast see milder weather on the way.
Gas for December delivery was last seen up $0.02 to US$4.36 per million British thermal units.
The rise comes as eastern states get a first taste of winter temperatures, with temperatures falling to freezing or below, boosting heating demand.
"A frosty weather system will track across the eastern 1/2 of the US the next few days w/highs of 30s-50s, lows 10s-30s, including 20s-30s into Texas and the South," NatGasWeather noted.
However the cool weather is not expected to last, with the National Weather Service's six to 14 day forecast expecting states east of the Rocky Mountains to be warmer than seasonal over the period.
