09:26 AM EDT, 08/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Natural gas was steady early on Thursday ahead of fresh storage data even as forecasts see mild temperatures coming for most states that will lower cooling demand.
Gas for October delivery was last seen unchanged at US$2.88 per million British thermal units.
Long-term forecasts from the National Weather Service expect most states east of the Rocky Mountains to see coloer than seasonal temperatures over the next six to 14 days, easing air-conditioning demand.
The Energy Information Administration will release its weekly report on U.S. inventories of the fuel later on Thursday morning, with Celsius Energy expecting a lighter than average rise of 24-billion cubic feet. The EIA last week pegged stocks at 3.2-trillion cubic feet, 5.8% above the five-year average.
