09:26 AM EST, 11/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Natural gas traded sharply lower early on Tuesday even as long-term forecasts see cooler than seasonal temperatures coming for most states.
Gas for December delivery was last seen down US$0.18 to US$4.37 per million British thermal units.
The drop comes even as long-term forecasts from the National Weather Service see all states except the southeast with cooler than seasonal temperatures over its six to 14 day outlook, offering a boost to heating demand. However mild near-term forecasts are limiting prices.
"Above normal temperatures will continue over much of the US the next few days w/highs of mostly 40s-60s across northern US and upper 50s to 80s across the southern US," NatGasWeather noted.
