08:41 AM EDT, 04/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- NAV CANADA and CAE (CAE.TO, CAE) said Tuesday that they have joined forces to increase training capacity for crucial air traffic services professionals.
Under the partnership, CAE instructors will deliver initial training for flight service specialists and air traffic controllers using NAV CANADA's training curriculum and courseware.
The first classes will start this fall at the new, Air Traffic Services Training Centre on CAE's campus in Montreal.
Also, the partnership is expected to increase training capacity at NAV CANADA and is expected to support the training for more than 500 additional students by 2028.
The company's stock, which slipped 0.05% in premarket US trading on Tuesday, fell 1.5% in Canada yesterday.
NAV CANADA is a private, not-for-profit company, established in 1996, providing air traffic control, airport advisory services, weather briefings and aeronautical information services for more than 18 million square kilometers of Canadian domestic and international airspace.
