04:51 PM EST, 11/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NB Bancorp ( NBBK ) and Provident Bancorp ( PVBC ) satisfied all closing conditions for their merger and started the final steps to complete the transaction.

The deal, announced in June, involves Provident Bancorp ( PVBC ) merging into NB Bancorp ( NBBK ), with NB Bancorp ( NBBK ) as the surviving entity. The transaction is expected to close shortly after midnight Eastern time on Saturday, NB Bancorp ( NBBK ) said Friday in a statement.

Provident's shares are set to be delisted from Nasdaq after the close of trading Friday. Joseph Reilly, the chief executive officer of BankProv, the banking arm of Provident, will join the boards of NB Bancorp ( NBBK ) and Needham Bank.
