12:17 PM EDT, 08/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- NCR Voyix ( VYX ) has been chosen by UK grocer Sainsbury's to upgrade its checkout technology, Sainsbury's said Monday.

The agreement expands the over 20-year partnership with NCR Voyix ( VYX ). The grocer said it will roll out the the new NCR Voyix Commerce Platform, Point of Sale Solutions and Self-Checkout systems to 22,500 checkouts across its supermarkets, convenience stores and petrol stations.

Sainsbury's said the new platform will speed up the checkout process as workers can approve transactions remotely via tablet.
