12:10 PM EST, 12/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Netflix ( NFLX ) and the National Football League set new records on Christmas Day, attracting almost 65 million US viewers, according to Nielsen data, the streaming company said Thursday.
The games between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs against the Pittsburgh Steelers became the most-streamed NFL games in US history. The Ravens-Texans game peaked at over 27 million viewers with Beyonce's halftime performance leading to a spike in viewership, Netflix ( NFLX ) said, citing Nielsen.
Based on Nielsen data, the Ravens-Texans game was also the most-watched Christmas Day game among viewers aged 18-34, Netflix ( NFLX ) said.
Paramount Global's ( PARAA ) CBS Sports produced the games with NFL Media handling the pre, post and halftime shows, the company said.
