07:36 AM EST, 12/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nevada King Gold ( NKGFF ) reported Monday that it has begun its Phase III drill program at the Atlanta Gold Project in Nevada, which is expected to cover at least 20,000m over 80 drill holes, with potential to increase this amount to 30,000m.

The company has two reverse circulation drill rigs on site with one dedicated to drilling at the newly-discovered South Quartzite Ridge Target, where it had intercepted 6.28 g/t gold over 54.9 metres earlier this year. Roughly half of the drill budget will be allocated to this area. The other drill rig will test 12 regional targets to see if gold mineralization occurs in other areas of the property.

According to a statement, "the Phase III program has the potential to turn 2025 into a transformative year for the company and its Atlanta Gold Mine Project, as it looks to grow mineralization in the SQRT, and find new satellite deposits."
