10:29 AM EDT, 07/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- New Fortress Energy ( NFE ) said Friday it has achieved First LNG for its initial Fast LNG facility in offshore Altamira, Mexico.

With a production capacity of 1.4 MTPA, or about 70 TBtus, FLNG completes the vertical integration of its LNG portfolio and will play a pivotal role in supplying LNG to its downstream terminal customers, the company said.

FLNG adds more than $2 billion of infrastructure to its asset base, improving its operational capabilities, financial flexibility, and credit profile, the company said.

Shares of New Fortress Energy ( NFE ) were up over 4% in recent trading.
