08:00 AM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- New Fortress Energy ( NFE ) said Monday it achieved first fire at its 624 MW CELBA 2 Power Plant in northern Brazil, a step toward commercial operations.

The company added that once operational, the unit will provide power to the region through its integrated gas and power infrastructure in Barcarena.

New Fortress Energy ( NFE ) shares were up 3% in recent premarket activity.
