10:05 AM EDT, 03/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- New Fortress Energy ( NFE ) said Monday it amended the extension of its gas supply contract with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority to 100 days from one year previously.

The company said the shorter extension provides a bridge period to facilitate an open request for proposals for updated terms and duration of the gas supply contract.

New Fortress shares were up 5.7% in recent Monday trading.
