06:02 AM EDT, 10/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- New York Community Bancorp ( NYCB/PU ) said Tuesday its board has approved and adopted to change the company's name to Flagstar Financial, effective Oct. 25.

The company expects its shares to start trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the new symbol, "FLG," effective Oct. 28.

New York Community Bancorp ( NYCB/PU ) is the parent company of Flagstar Bank.
