10:03 AM EST, 01/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Newegg Commerce ( NEGG ) reported Friday a surge in demand for Nvidia's ( NVDA ) GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, selling out within minutes of the launch.

The GPUs claimed 18 of the top 25 spots on Newegg's most-visited product pages, and the retailer's site traffic jumped 8 to 10 times normal levels, Newegg said, adding that search activity also reflected the high demand, with searches for "5080" and "5090" increasing by a factor of 25 compared to the previous week.

Shares of Newegg were up more than 6% in recent Friday trading.
