India to resume visa services in Canada from today

India will resume some visa services in Canada with effect from Thursday, October 26, the High Commission in Canada said on Wednesday. India will resume visa services for entry visa, business visa, medical visa, and conference visa, the High Commission said.

On September 21, BLS International, an online visa application centre said that the Indian Mission has suspended India visa services in Canada until further notice. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed the news. They said that due to the inaction of the Canadian government, India is stopping the issuance of visas temporarily. We will review the situation on a regular basis, they added. Those who have valid existing Indian visas can continue travelling to India, an MEA Spokesperson responded to CNBC-TV18's question.
