Uttarkashi tunnel rescue LIVE: 31 ambulances arrive at rescue site
The operation to rescue all 41 highway construction workers, who have been trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel collapse site for over 10 days, has entered into its final stages. Several NDRF personnel entered the tunnel on November 22. The Uttarkashi DM has reached the spot as well. A 41-bed hospital has been prepared for the medical examination and care of the workers post-evacuation. Ambulances are on standby, According to a statement from PMO, 'good news' is on its way.

North Korea scraps military deal with South Korea, escalating tensions
North Korea said it is ending an agreement aimed at reducing military tensions with the South, a sign ties are fraying after Pyongyang launched its first spy satellite.
North Korea vowed that “our army will never be bound” by the 2018 agreement, the official Korean Central News Agency reported Thursday, adding that it "will immediately restore all military measures that have been halted."
It would “deploy more powerful armed forces and new military hardware” in the area along the border separating it from South Korea, it added.
InterGlobe Aviation receives ₹1,666 crore tax demand, commits to legal battle
InterGlobe Aviation, the parent of the country's largest airline IndiGo, on Wednesday (November 22) said the company has received ₹1,666 crore order from the Commissioner of Income Tax Appeals.
The orders, dated November 21, 2023, pertain to a demand of ₹740 crore for the assessment year 2016-17 and ₹927 crore for the assessment year 2017-18.
"A demand of ₹7,396.76 million (AY 2016-17) and ₹9,270.31 million (AY 2017-18) was raised by the Assessing officer, against which the Company had preferred appeal before CIT-Appeal," Indigo said in a regulatory filing at the exchange.
