05:23 PM EDT, 08/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nexa Resources ( NEXA ) resumed full operations at its Cerro Pasco mining complex in Peru.

The Atacocha and El Porvenir mines are operating at normal capacity following protests by individuals from the San Juan de Milpo community near the complex.

The disruption led to an estimated production loss of 1,200 tons of zinc with the volume expected to be recovered "in the upcoming month," the company said Tuesday in a statement, leaving its 2025 production outlook unchanged.
