08:00 AM EDT, 08/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- NexGen Energy ( NXE ) said Thursday that the latest results from Summer drilling expanded mineralization at the Patterson Corridor East within the Rook I project in Saskatchewan.
The company said the results include its best intercept to date at drill hole RK-24-207, which "confirms continuity of mineralization, massive replacement uranium and significant high grade" at Patterson.
NexGen said the most recent intersection in RK-24-207 contains the first instance of massive replacement by uraninite, a key indicator of a strongly mineralized system.
"In the first two months of the summer program, the results have rapidly indicated an expansive, mineralized footprint with remarkable continuity," CEO Leigh Curyer said. "The summer program has been purposely bold with very large drill step outs and has intersected mineralization in an additional 8 of the 12 holes drilled."
Nexgen said its summer drilling to date totals 10,045.5 meters of the planned 22,000 meters from 12 completed drillholes. Assays from disclosed mineralized intersections are pending and due in the fourth quarter.
