07:37 AM EDT, 06/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NexGold Mining ( NXGCF ) reported Friday the latest results of its ongoing 25,000-meter diamond drill program at the Goldboro project in Nova Scotia.

Results include 25.79 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 4.5 meters and 18.09 g/t gold over 3.0 meters.

"The results to date at the west pit are demonstrating that the general geological model is as predicted with adjustments to the mineralized solids required for local variation in position to accommodate the recently acquired data," said Kevin Bullock, NexGold's president and CEO. "We are also encouraged by additional intersections of gold mineralization which were not previously intersected."

The company expects to complete drilling at the end of the second quarter, with final assays flowing in through the middle of the third quarter.

NexGold's share price rose 2.6% on Thursday to $0.78 on the TSXV.
