Nexstar Media Completes Acquisition of Tegna Following Regulatory Approval

03:20 AM EDT, 03/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nexstar Media Group ( NXST ) said late Thursday it completed its acquisition of Tegna ( TGNA ) , following approval from the Federal Communications Commission and US Department of Justice.

In August, the companies agreed a $6.2 billion deal for Nexstar Media ( NXST ) to acquire Tegna ( TGNA ).
