Nexstar Media Seeks FCC Approval of Tegna Acquisition

04:36 PM EST, 11/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nexstar Media ( NXST ) said Tuesday it has filed applications with the Federal Communications Commission seeking consent to transfer TEGNA's ( TGNA ) broadcast licenses to Nexstar as part of its pending acquisition.

The company said the filings include requests for waivers of certain FCC television ownership rules if those rules remain in effect.
