Nexstar Media's WPIX-TV Extends Broadcast Rights Agreement for New York Mets Games

10:00 AM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nexstar Media Group's ( NXST ) WPIX-TV said Monday it extended its multiplatform agreement with SportsNet New York to carry New York Mets baseball games through the 2028 season.

Under the new agreement, WPIX-TV will carry 30 Mets games each season from 2026 through 2028, including 25 regular season games primarily on Friday nights and five spring training games, according to a statement.

The games will also air on Nexstar Media ( NXST )-owned and operated stations in several upstate New York markets and in Hartford, Connecticut, for the first time, the company said.
