05:08 PM EDT, 06/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NextDecade ( NEXT ) said late Thursday its subsidiaries finalized updated and new turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction contracts with Bechtel Energy for Trains 4 and 5 at its Rio Grande LNG facility in Texas.
The company refreshed pricing for the Train 4 EPC contract and signed a new EPC agreement for Train 5. Rio Grande LNG Train 4 will pay Bechtel about $4.77 billion, while Train 5 will cost about $4.32 billion. Both pricing agreements remain valid through Sept. 15, 2025.
NextDecade ( NEXT ) expects an additional $1.8 billion to $2.0 billion in owner's costs and financing for each train. With commercialization of Train 4 complete, the company has begun financing efforts and aims to reach a final investment decision before the pricing window expires.
Shares of NextDecade ( NEXT ) were up nearly 2% in after-hours activity.
