10:05 AM EDT, 06/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NextEra Energy's ( NEE ) subsidiary NextEra Energy Resources and its partner DEMCO said Monday that the Amite Solar energy facility in Louisiana is now operational.

Amite Solar Energy Center, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, can generate up to 100 megawatts, according to a joint statement.

The facility delivers energy to members of DEMCO, a not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative, for the next 25 years, DEMCO Chief Executive Randy Pierce said.
