NextEra reports lower second-quarter profit

July 24 (Reuters) - NextEra Energy's reported

lower second-quarter net income on Wednesday, hurt by weakness

in its utilities segment.

The world's largest renewables company reported a net income

of $1.62 billion, or 79 cents per share, compared with $2.8

billion, or $1.38 per share in the same quarter last year.
