05:24 PM EDT, 05/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- NFI Group ( NFYEF ) , on Tuesday appointed John Proven as the new president of NFI Parts and ARBOC Specialty Vehicles (ARBOC) businesses.

The bus and coach manufacturer said Proven will start his new role on June 3, reporting directly to chief executive Paul Soubry, and will succeed Brian Dewsnup, who became NFI's Chief Financial Officer on Feb. 29.

Proven brings to NFI over 20 years of experience in global markets and leadership of geographically diverse operations in manufacturing environments, and recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CEL Group of Companies (CEL).

His innovative mindset and proven track-record will be critical to advancing NFI's North American aftermarket business and our market leading low-floor cutaway and medium-duty bus offerings," Soubry said in a statement

NFI shares closed down $0.49 to $15.57 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
