08:28 AM EST, 01/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NFI Group ( NFYEF ) on Monday said Chan Galbato will replace Wendy Kei as the chair of the bus manufacturer's board and nominated two new independent directors to body.
Galbato is chief executive of Cerberus Operations and Advisory, where he oversees a portfolio that includes school-bus manufacturer Blue Bird.
"Chan's appointment brings valuable operational and supply chain expertise at a crucial time in our growth trajectory," said NFI Chief Executive Paul Soubry in a release. "His track record of driving operational excellence across global manufacturing organizations will be invaluable as we execute on our $12 billion backlog and capitalize on record demand for our buses and coaches."
NFI also said Aziz Aghili and Maryse Saint-Laurent will replace departing directors Larry Edwards and Krystyna Hoeg who will retire at the company's annual meeting. Aghili has a background in manufacturing and supply-chain management while Saint-Laurent is a corporate director with experience in law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets financing, and human resources.
NFI shares closed down $0.07 to $14.36 on Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
