05:35 PM EDT, 04/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nike ( NKE ) plans to cut 1,400 jobs in global operations, with most of the reductions coming in the technology division.

"In the coming weeks, several significant changes will take effect across global operations," the company said Thursday in a statement. "These actions will result in changes to some team structures, work locations, and headcount."

Areas affected include Air Manufacturing Innovation, materials supply chain, and Converse ( NKE ) footwear manufacturing, the company said.

Nike ( NKE ) said the cuts reflect efforts to streamline operations, consolidate technology functions, and adjust staffing to match evolving business demands.
