Nio Partners With CATL to Produce Longer-Life Batteries for Electric Vehicles

08:54 AM EDT, 03/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nio (NIO), an electric vehicle maker, on Thursday signed a partnership agreement with battery maker CATL to produce longer-life batteries for electric vehicles, news outlets reported, citing public statements and comments from Nio's chief executive officer, William Li.

The partnership between Nio and CATL, which was originally introduced in January, will seek to lower the so-called "full life cycle" costs of batteries, Reuters reported, citing Li as telling reporters in Beijing.
