No impact of framer protests on rabi sowing: Kaveri Seeds
Dec 11, 2020 5:06 AM

Rabi sowing, crops that are sown in winter and harvested in the spring, has grown up by 4 percent annually to 348 lakh hectares by November-end, according to a CRISIL research report.

C Mithun Chand, ED, Kaveri Seeds spoke to CNBC-TV18 about rabi sowing season and farmers protest.

Chand said, “If you see the overall sowings compared to the previous year and it has picked up and picked up really good. The farmer’s agitation - the government is taking necessary steps to protect all the stakeholders in that. But in terms of the real impact on sowing, I don’t see any impact on that.”

On the road ahead for Kaveri Seeds he said, “At Kaveri we have different product portfolios and we are leaders in most of the products. We are gaining market share in most of the areas and going forward we should double our operation areas in the next 10 years that is the target we will see.”
