08:55 AM EDT, 05/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nokia ( NOK ) said Wednesday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with defense-focused software developer Blackned to jointly develop mobile tactical communication networks for German arms maker Rheinmetall's Battlesuite.

The companies will combine Nokia's ( NOK ) 5G technology with Blackned's defense software to build the communication systems for Rheinmetall, which owns a 51% stake in Blackned, Nokia ( NOK ) said.
