Nokia Completes UAE's First Live Transport Network Slicing Trial With du

07:05 AM EST, 11/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nokia ( NOK ) said Tuesday that it completed the network slicing trial with du, marking the UAE's first live transport slicing deployment.

The company said network slicing allows operators to flexibly allocate resources to deliver services such as low-latency gaming, video streaming, and IoT communications within each slice.

It added that the technology would also improve network utilization, enhance security, reduce energy consumption, and offer monetization opportunities through customized solutions.
