09:50 AM EST, 12/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nokia ( NOK ) said Tuesday that Hotwire Communications has successfully tested its passive optical network technology over its existing fiber network in southern Florida at speeds of 25- and 50-gigabits per second using Nokia's ( NOK ) Lightspan MF fiber access platform.

Nokia ( NOK ) said it is the only telecommunications vendor currently supporting all next-generation PON technology and allowing network operators to keep pace with rising demand for multi-gigabit services.

Nokia ( NOK ) shares were unchanged in initial Tuesday trading.
