Nokia Secures Deal to Supply 5G Equipment to Italy's EOLO

06:17 AM EST, 12/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nokia ( NOK ) said Monday it signed a four-year contract with Italian telecom operator EOLO to supply equipment for the first 5G standalone mmWave Radio Access Network in Europe.

Under the deal, the Finnish mobile technology company will supply its Shikra mmWave radios, FastMile FWA receivers and other products from its 5G AirScale portfolio to support EOLO's fixed wireless services, it said.

The new network infrastructure will support underserved communities in Italy.
