08:02 AM EDT, 08/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nokia ( NOK ) has partnered with Swisscom Broadcast to deploy a Drones-as-a-Service network across Switzerland, to enhance services pertaining to emergency response, perimeter protection and infrastructure inspection, the companies said Thursday.

Financial details of the partnership weren't disclosed.

The goal is to help keep public service workers safe, the companies said.

The Swiss deployment will be the second nationwide Nokia Drone Networks project, after Belgium's 'Citymesh' deployment.
