Nordstrom Forms Committee to Evaluate Go-Private Proposal

05:12 PM EDT, 04/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nordstrom (JWN) said late Thursday its board formed a special committee to evaluate a potential go-private transaction proposed by Erik Nordstrom and Pete Nordstrom, the company's chief executive and president, respectively.

The two executives own a combined 9.52% interest in the company, as of Wednesday.

The committee will also evaluate any other proposals, including those from other parties, it said. The approval of any particular transaction is still uncertain, the company said.

Shares of the company were nearly 2% higher in after-hours activity.
