Nordstrom Reports Fiscal Q1 Adjusted Loss, Revenue Rises; 2024 Outlook Reaffirmed -- Shares Fall After Hours

05:12 PM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nordstrom ( JWN ) reported a fiscal Q1 adjusted net loss late Thursday of $0.24 per diluted share, compared with earnings of $0.07 per share a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.07.

Revenue for the quarter ended May 4 rose to $3.34 billion from $3.18 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $3.2 billion.

For fiscal 2024, the company said it continues to expect EPS of $1.65 to $2.05.

The consensus is for $1.79.

Nordstrom ( JWN ) also reaffirmed its full-year revenue outlook range indicating a 2% decline to a 1% increase.

The company's shares were down more than 6% in after-hours activity.
