08:28 AM EDT, 03/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Norfolk Southern ( NSC ) said Wednesday it has appointed John Orr as executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective immediately, replacing Paul Duncan.

Orr joins the company from Canadian Pacific Kansas City ( CP ) , where he was the chief transformation officer, the company said.

Duncan departed the company to pursue other opportunities, according to Norfolk.
