11:48 AM EDT, 09/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Northrop Grumman ( NOC ) said Monday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Republic of Lithuania's Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Finance to enhance the country's production of medium-caliber ammunition for infantry fighting vehicles.

Financial details were not disclosed.

The memorandum of understanding allows Northrop to share technologies and advanced manufacturing expertise with Lithuanian industry, aligning with US policy to support allies' domestic defense capabilities, which is crucial for replenishing stockpiles and strengthening munitions supply chains, the company said.
