03:16 PM EST, 12/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Northrop Grumman ( NOC ) said Friday it has won a competitive award from the US Space Development Agency to deliver 18 integrated missile warning and tracking satellites under the Tranche 3 Tracking Layer program.

The satellites will detect and track hypersonic and advanced missiles from launch to interception and supply precise fire-control data via the agency's satellite communications network, the company said.

The program expands capabilities from previous tranches with wider coverage, and deeper integration with the Transport Layer, it added.

Shares of the company were up about 1.5% in recent trading.
