11:35 AM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Northstar Clean Technologies ( ROOOF ) said Tuesday it received its first long-lead equipment item, an advanced shingle grinding machine from Rotochopper, for its planned asphalt-shingle reprocessing facility in Calgary, Alberta.

The Rotochopper machine was manufactured and assembled off site and delivered fully assembled to the Empower Calgary Facility.

Northstar said the machine will be used in the yard at the Empower Calgary Facility to grind asphalt shingles for input to the shingle reprocessing process.

"The Rotochopper is an advanced piece of equipment with cutting-edge grinding technology and will be critical in ensuring we maximize the recovery of valuable materials from our feedstock," President and CEO Aidan Mills said.
