08:03 AM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Northwest Bancshares ( NWBI ) has completed its merger with Penns Woods Bancorp (PWOD), including integrating its subsidiaries, Jersey Shore State Bank and Luzerne Bank, into Northwest Bank, the companies said Monday.

As part of the deal, the companies said Penns Woods CEO Richard Grafmyre has joined the boards of Northwest and Northwest Bank.

The merger adds 21 branches across North Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania, bringing Northwest's total to 151 financial centers across Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and Indiana, the companies said.
