05:13 PM EDT, 04/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings ( NCLH ) disclosed late Monday a new order for eight ships to be built by Italy's Fincantieri, representing about 25,000 more berths.

The new ship orders are slated for delivery between 2026 and 2036, the company said, adding some orders are subject to financing.

The company also said it's building a new pier at Great Stirrup Cay, its private island in the Bahamas. The project, which is expected to break ground in summer 2024, represents an investment of about $150 million, it said.
