06:34 AM EST, 02/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings ( NCLH ) has placed a firm order for four cruise ships with Fincantieri, the shipbuilder said Wednesday.
Delivery is expected to begin in 2030, with the other units to follow in 2032, 2034, and 2036.
The Italian firm has already built two ships for Norwegian, with another one expected for delivery in the coming months and three others in various stages of production, it said.
Fincantieri said that the new units, which can accommodate over 8,300 people, will be the largest ever built for the cruise company.
Reuters said, citing a source close to the matter, that the deal was valued at around 9 billion euros ($9.34 billion).
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings ( NCLH ) did not immediately respond to MTNewswires' request for comment.
