08:58 AM EDT, 03/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nouveau Monde Graphite ( NMG ) was 2.7% higher at last look Monday in NYSE pre-market trading after reporting a higher net loss for 2024, but a narrower loss per share.
The company reported a 2024 net and comprehensive loss of $73.3 million, or $0.71 per share, compared to a 2023 net and comprehensive loss of $56.0 million, or $0.93 per share.
Expenses increased to $25.1 million from $9.5 million.
Nouveau Monde said it continues to advance financing and commercial activities for the integrated phase-2 Matawinie mine and Becancour battery material plant in Quebec. The company said it has received about $1.6 billion in expressions of interest from potential lenders, anchor customers and institutional equity investors.
"We are now moving toward [final investment decision] to bring to commercial production one of North America's first and largest fully integrated graphite production of active anode material," Chair Arne Frandsen said.
