08:35 AM EDT, 04/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. ( NMG ) said Monday that it has paid accrued interests owed to Investissement Quebec as part of a private placement announced in November 2022.

Nouveau Monde said it will issue 141,786 shares priced at US$2.30 each, for US$326,108 in total.

In connection with its private placements announced in February, Noveau Monde said interest under the unsecured convertible notes issued to Mitsui & Co. Ltd. and Pallinghurst Bond Ltd. has ceased to accrue as of Feb. 14.

Nouveau Monde also reported the grant of 2,562,500 stock options to directors, officers, and employees in line with the terms of its stock option plan.

The company rose 6.5% last Thursday on the TSX and by 5.5% last Thursday on the NYSE.
