05:38 PM EDT, 10/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- NovaGold Resources ( NG ) (NG.TO, NG) was at last look down 2.3% in after-hours New York trading Wednesday as the company reported a similar net loss for its fiscal third quarter as it did a year earlier, while remaining focused on progressing its Donlin Gold project it Alaska, a joint venture with Barrick Gold ( GOLD ).
The company reported a US$0.03 loss per share in the quarter ended Aug.31, unchanged from the year earlier period, while reporting no revenue. The company said it ended the quarter with approximately $106 million in cash and term deposits on hand.
"NovaGold's primary goals in 2024 include continuing to advance the Donlin Gold project toward a construction decision; maintaining support for Donlin Gold among the project's stakeholders; promoting a strong culture on safety, sustainability, and the environment; maintaining a favorable reputation of NOVAGOLD; and preserving a healthy balance sheet," the company said.
NovaGold edged up $0.03 to $5.65 today on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
