Bernie Sanders, chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, said Tuesday the committee will vote on June 18 to subpoena Novo Nordisk's ( NVO ) President Doug Langa to testify about the prices of diabetes and weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy in the US.

The committee's investigation found that Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) charges $969 per month for Ozempic and $1,349 a month for Wegovy in the US, dwarfing prices in Germany, Denmark and Canada, Sanders said.

Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
