11:42 AM EDT, 06/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) said Thursday it has entered into a collaboration with WeightWatchers to expand patient access to its weight-loss drug Wegovy injection 2.4mg, starting July 1.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

Under the new agreement, WeightWatchers will partner with CenterWell Pharmacy, which will serve as the dispensing pharmacy managing prescription fulfillment and delivery for NovoCare Pharmacy.

The company will launch a new $299 savings program for self-paying patients from July 1 to 31, replacing its earlier $199 promotion. Beginning in August, the monthly cost will rise to $499.

Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) also said it is intensifying its crackdown on counterfeit "semaglutide" products, with nearly 120 lawsuits filed in 34 states and cautioned against the dangers of compounded versions, especially those made with ingredients sourced from unapproved suppliers in China.
