Now, book a holiday in "just four clicks" on MakeMyTrip for long weekend: report
Jul 18, 2019 12:05 AM

With an aim to cash in on long weekends, online travel firm MakeMyTrip will soon offer consolidated packages allowing one to book a holiday in "just four clicks", reported Business Standard.

According to the report, MMT has analysed popular search trends on its app and has curated a list of domestic destinations that take 2-3 hours to reach or international destinations without the requirement of visa or with visa on arrival.

The travel app has designed over 400 packages with 80-100 destinations and a link will show up on the app or the website two weeks prior to the long weekend, said the report.

"We realised there was a major gap in the market when people try to make bookings for long weekends. Many people don't even realise that there is a long weekend coming. By the time they do, it is too late. Most of us are time-starved and most of us don't have the time to get into details. So plans fall through because there is no ready reckoner. With 'Weekend Getaways,' we will try to do our hard work and heavy lifting and serve it on a platter," Vipul Prakash, chief operating officer, MakeMyTrip.com told the paper.
